Measuring business effectiveness and process value.

As a creative leader, I believe great work is only possible when the right people, processes, and visibility are in place. To help instill that from day one, I conceptualized and built a custom tool for our team—what I call the Operations Notebook.

This multi-functional framework was designed to centralize the moving parts of our business: tracking sales opportunities and close dates, mapping team roles across projects, and surfacing actionable insights on resourcing, utilization, and revenue. The tool includes a built-in feedback loop with real-time data on billability and team bandwidth across the last 4 weeks: empowering smarter staffing decisions, hiring strategies, and gap identification.

More than a tracker, this became a strategic lens into the health of the business. It created immediate value by aligning teams on priorities, reducing operational blind spots, and helping leadership make better decisions, faster.

Challenge + Solution

Lack of centralized visibility into sales pipeline, staffing, and team utilization made it difficult to plan ahead and scale efficiently.

I created the Operations Notebook, a dynamic, internal tool that connects the dots between opportunity, people, and performance.

Key Features

Sales Tracker: View open opportunities, projected close dates, and pipeline health

Team Mapping: Track who’s staffed on what, with defined roles tied to future skills matrix

Custom Reporting: Real-time visibility into billability, revenue, and utilization (rolling 4-week view)

Impact

Immediate visibility for leadership
Smarter, faster staffing decisions
Identified gaps early → informed hiring plans
Created a repeatable framework for operational growth
